It’s official! Former R5 member Rydel Lynch just took to Instagram to announce that she is dating YouTuber and professional scooter rider Capron Funk.
The 26-year-old social media star asked the blonde beauty to be his girlfriend in the absolute cutest way ever, and lucky for us, they documented the whole thing. Capron popped the question during The Driver Era‘s concert in Los Angeles on June 22.
As fans know, the 25-year-old musician was a member of R5 with her siblings. But in March 2018, R5’s Instagram and Twitter handles were changed to The Driver Era — and all of R5’s posts were deleted. The band formed into a duo, consisting of only Rocky Lynch and Ross Lynch — however, the other three band members (Rydel, her ex-boyfriend Ellington Ratliff and her brother Riker Lynch) still join The Driver Era for live performances.
Capron held up posters that read “Will you be my girlfriend?” during the band’s show, and Rydel’s reaction was beyond precious.
“He’s a keeper,” she wrote alongside her post.
Capron also shared video footage from the big day, which documented how it all went down.
And in case you were wondering — yes, Rydel’s ex-boyfriend of five years, Ellington, was there to witness the whole thing on stage. Rydel confirmed that Rydellington was over in an October 2018 YouTube video — but she assured fans they were “still great friends.”
Not only are Rydel and Capron both YouTubers, but the pair have actually already collaborated together in the past. You know what they say, couples who vlog together, stay together!
