Congratulations are in order for R5 member Rydel Lynch! On February 9, 2020, the 26-year-old took the next step in her relationship and accepted a marriage proposal from boyfriend Capron Funk.
Both stars took their Instagram accounts and posted the exciting news, showing off their love to fans and followers. The couple shared adorable photos of themselves wearing matching shirts from their engagement day. Both Rydel and Capron’s families were also in on the big surprise. From the look of it, they were there when YouTube star got down on one knee and even wore pink baseball tees that read “Capron asked Rydel to marry him.” It doesn’t get cuter than that!
“I said h**l yes,” Rydel captioned a collection of photos of her and Capron on Instagram. She also gave her 1.3 million followers a closer look at her stunning engagement ring in a separate post.
A few of Rydel’s famous friends — like Laura Marano, Courtney Eaton, Madison Pettis and Paris Berelc — commented on her social media posts and congratulated the happy couple.
“Ahhhh!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!” Laura wrote. Courtney added, “I LOVE YOU DELLY!!! So so excited for you.”
“OMG congratulations!!!!” Madison said. Paris commented, “CONGRATULATIONS.”
Even though he was there for the engagement, Rydel’s brother Riker Lynch also left a hilarious comment.
“So proud of myself for not blowing the surprise,” he said.
Capron also took to his Instagram and posted a different collection of photos, including a group picture with both of their families.
He captioned the photo with one ring emoji and tagged his new fiancée.
Capron and Rydel have been together since June 2019. The YouTube star asked the blonde beauty to be his girlfriend during a The Driver Era concert in Los Angeles. As fans know, The Driver Era is a musical duo consisting of Rydel’s brothers Rocky Lynch and Ross Lynch. However, Rydel joined the boys on stage for this particular live performance. In the middle of the concert, Capron held up posters that read “Will you be my girlfriend?” and after the show, Rydel posted a video of the entire thing!
“He’s a keeper,” she captioned her Instagram post at the time.
