After months of waiting, it’s almost here! Yep, Sabrina Carpenter and Jordan Fisher‘s upcoming dance flick Work It! just got an official release date, and we can’t contain our excitement.
Mark your calendars, people, because according to Netflix, the highly-anticipated movie is set to hit the streaming service on August 7, 2020! But that’s not all! Along with this amazing announcement, Netflix even gave fans a first look at the film and honestly, this is everything we’ve been waiting for.
“Are you ready to WORK IT? Don’t worry, you can on August 7 with these legends,” the streaming service captioned the clip.
For those who missed it, in July 2019, it was announced that Sabrina and Jordan would be joined by YouTube sensation Liza Koshy for the movie, which filmed in Toronto, Canada. Now, one year later, we’re going to get a chance to see these three superstars in action and it, no doubt, will be worth the wait.
According to Netflix, the movie is set to follow the journey of a girl named Quinn Ackerman (played by Sabrina), whose college admission depends on her performance at a big dance competition. The only problem is — she has to learn how to dance! So she forms a dance crew of misfits to take on the best crew in school. Unfortunately, there’s no trailer just yet, but we hope they have plans to drop one soon!
That’s not all, you guys, aside from just starring in the film, Girl Meets World actress is also listed as an executive producer on the project. When the film was first announced, Sabrina gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their dance rehearsals and, NGL, it’s all we’ve been watching since. But now that there’s finally an actual release date for the movie, we’re seriously counting down the days until it premieres.
But, for now, we’ll just be watching these clips of Sabrina, Jordan and Liza dancing on repeat!
