Sabrina Carpenter is setting the record straight about her relationship with her beloved friend and former Girl Meets World co-star Corey Fogelmanis. You see, Corey celebrated his 19th birthday yesterday – and naturally, Sab took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of the two. Aside from wishing her friend a happy birthday in the caption, Sabrina also decided to crack a little joke about all the dating rumors that never seem to go away about the two. Seriously though, Cobrina shippers don’t mess around. They’ve been questioned for years about what’s ~really~ going on between them, and so Sabrina took this opportunity to shut it all down.
“happy birthday corey,” the actress and singer wrote alongside the super cute picture she posted. “you’re a great friend and I’m honored to know you, and not date you. thanks for being there for me and not dating me. love u so much. platonically.”
Wait, did you hear that? Yeah, it’s just the sound of shippers everywhere weeping, now that their dreams are crushed and all. While they will always be Maya Hart and Farkle Minkus in our hearts, the two stars have gone on to venture away from Disney Channel – but that doesn’t mean they’re any less close. Sabrina and Corey are always spending time together and supporting one another in the cutest ways. Like Sabrina did for Corey’s birthday! Just don’t expect them to date. Because it’s not happening. Really.
