Between the gorgeous red carpet looks and the dazzling performances, the 2019 iHeartRadio Awards was definitely a night to remember. But there was one super awkward moment between host T-Pain and Taylor Swift, when he made an insensitive joke about “headbutting” the singer in the “boob.” Um, what? Obviously, Taylor was not happy.
“Taylor, I never apologized to you. The first time we met, you’re so much taller than me that I thought you were standing on something,” the rapper said during the award show on Thursday, March 14. “So, without looking down, I tried to stand on whatever I thought you were standing on and bam! Headbutted you right in the boob. I am so sorry. That was not my intentions.”
And when the camera cut to the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress to catch her reaction, she seriously looked mortified. We mean, we don’t blame her! How would you feel if a man made a joke about touching your boob on national television? Definitely not cool.
But besides that awkward moment, the blonde beauty had a pretty amazing night. And that’s because she took home the award for Tour of the Year for her Reputation Stadium Tour!
“I honestly owe everything, everything in my life to you,” the 29-year-old gushed in her acceptance speech. “And I want to thank you if you came out and saw the show in perfect weather or if you came to one of our many rain shows that we had. And also, I want to say thank you if you watched the show on Netflix, like on your couch with your dog. You guys are the reason why this tour — and the only reason why this tour wasn’t a massive failure and why it ended up being the highest selling tour in U.S. history. That’s you.”
Taylor even dropped a major hint about her upcoming seventh album.
“And I also just wanted to say before I go that I love your passion. I love your attention to detail. I love how much you care,” she added. “I love seeing all the things you’re posting online, and I just wanted to let you know when there’s new music, you will be the first to know. I love you so much.”
