Get ready, Wizards of Waverly Place fans, because there may be a reboot in the works! Yep, two of the stars from the Disney Channel series — Selena Gomez and David Henrie — just reunited and appeared to film a brand new project together, and some fans are convinced that they’re reprising the iconic show!
“Hmm @selenagomez,” the actor captioned a clip that showed them both together on what appeared to be a set.
The singer also reposted the same video to her Instagram Stories with no caption.
Previously, when asked about the possibility of the show making a comeback, David explained, “I’ve talked to some people. Talked to some people that are decision-makers, to my sis Selena and I have to be very tactful with my response here because I’ll say there’s a lot of goodwill. I don’t think anyone’s opposed to the idea, but I think it’s a matter of time. Could be tomorrow. Could be a year from now. But I’d say there’s reasonable hope that there will be a reunion one day.”
As for whether or not she’d reprise her role as Alex Russo, the “Rare” songstress once said that she was “1,000 percent down.”
“I actually would love to. I don’t know when that will happen or if that will happen but I am 1,000 percent down,” she told KISS FM U.K. “[The show] makes me very happy. It was one of the greatest times of my life. I will never forget it. I still talk to some of the people from the show.”
Their epic hang out session comes just days after David reunited with some other Wizards stars, including Gregg Sulkin and Jennifer Stone, for an epic YouTube video. During the video, they participated in some trivia and spilled a bunch of behind-the-scenes secrets about the beloved series.
For example, did you know that after Wizards came to an end, Jessie — starring Debby Ryan and the late Cameron Boyce — took over their set?! And get this, you guys — Demi Lovato was discovered by the network after she attended a live taping of the show with Selena!
