Selena Gomez is all about saying what's on her mind, presenting a truly authentic version of herself to her fans and it looks like she got that honesty from her mom Mandy Teefey. Except maybe this time Mandy was a bit too honest, since she basically roasted some of Selena's v famous friends. Yikes.

So here's what went down: Mandy took to her personal Instagram account to share her thoughts on some of music's biggest male stars of the moment: Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes. And she was surprisingly totally over all of them. "On another note, can someone PLEASE discover the next pop boy band or little boy who sings about crap he has no clue about. I can't with the current ones on repetitive rotation. Naill you are safe, Harry you are safe…you other eliminated. But they are older so, maybe they don't count. I will drive my car into a wall if I hear Charlie Puth or Shawn Mendes one more time. We don't need to hear them every other song. Yes, I'm really mad about this. Lol," she wrote in the caption of a photo she shared of her iPad and all the unread emails she was about to answer.

Yikes, she's not holding anything back, that's for sure. It seems like Niall and Harry passed the cut since she called them "safe," or maybe she meant their music is safe-sounds which in our minds might translate to being basic, that's a bit unclear. Perhaps she is a fan of theirs but as for Charlie and Shawn, she is tired of hearing their songs on the radio. It's kind of surprising Mandy feels this way about Charlie, since her daughter has a duet with him, "We Don't Talk Anymore." Plus, he's older than both Niall and Harry, Shawn is the only teenager in that group of singers she mentioned and Niall and Sel are friends too, so this is all just random. While it is Mandy's Instagram account so yes she can say what she wants, she then responded back to a comment letting everyone know they shouldn't be dragging Selena into all this.

"My image is my image. Not hers. It is disgusting people are dragging Selena into this and disgusting what is being said because I want other artist rotated. All artists work hard. ALL. They are the ones that radio is driving me crazy with, it was others in the past old and young. I'm truly not sure what the big deal is. But, to each its own!" she commented back.

After dealing with tons of backlash, Mandy deleted this original post and shared a follow-up message further explaining she didn't mean any harm and wasn't trying to be negative, but was just venting a little about how certain songs are being overplayed in her mind.

"For the love of God! Calm Down. I made a factual comment about a inanimate object "Radio". If anything that post acknowledged their success. Everyone has had that thought at one point. These are a few that are currently on overkill. not their fault. I want all the other artist who works just as hard to get a chance. Everyone, I'm fine, friends, family and people who literally told me to die. It's down. It was taken WAY of context. I just got out of the car and literally every station I turned to was them. Ever need a breather yourself?" she wrote.

So Mandy does have a point: it's her Instagram account, so she can say what she wants and in her mind, she wasn't trying to be rude at all, but just wanted to hear a little variety on the radio. There's nothing wrong with that, but perhaps it was just her overall delivery that had people upset. But others should not have given her death threats or said terrible things about Selena either as a way to get back at Mandy. That's just rude and any form of cyberbullying isn't cool. Since this incident went down, Mandy's IG account, @kicked2thecurbproductions has been deleted so it seems like she's taking a break from social media. As an executive producer of 13 Reasons Why, a series that clearly shows how serious people's words can affect others, this is something Mandy and everyone else can totally learn from. Maybe just turn her IG comments off next time she wants to say what's on her mind and perhaps explain herself a tad bit better since words on the Internet can often get misconstrued. But lets all just be nicer to each other out on social media in general, k guys?
