Prepare yourselves, Selenators! Selena Gomez is about to release her first song since returning from rehab, and we’re FREAKING out.
The 26-year-old pop star will be featured on Julia Michaels‘ upcoming EP, which was confirmed when the 25-year-old singer-songwriter posted a photo of the track list on Instagram on January 20. The two will team up for the first track on the EP, titled “Anxiety.”
So far, the “Back To You” singer hasn’t mentioned anything about her feature on Julia’s EP, titled Inner Monologue Part 1, but the “Issues” crooner seems both excited and nervous for the news songs to drop.
“INNER MONOLOGUE PART 1 OUT JANUARY 25TH,” she wrote on Instagram. “Couldn’t be more nervous if I tried. But here’s a piece of my mind and my heart. it’s yours next week.”
To some extent, we’re sure Sel is nervous, too. We mean, the title of the song alone hints that the duo will be singing about some pretty heavy topics, and considering she’s been extremely open and honest about her struggles with anxiety and depression in the past, we’re sure this song hits very close to home.
As you can see, though, there’s more to look forward to on this EP than just Julia’s collaboration with the “It Ain’t Me” singer. Inner Monologue Part 1 closes with a song called “What a Time,” which features Niall Horan.
“So excited about this!” he wrote. “I’m singing on @juliamichaels album and I’m over the moon. Julia is one of my very very good friends and ‘what a time’ is absolutely stunning. I’m very proud to be part of this and can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”
If you’re just as excited as we are for these songs to drop, get ready. Inner Monologue Part 1 will be here on January 25, and with collaborations like these it’s guaranteed to be fire.
