Songstress Selena Gomez isn't one to reveal much about her love life, especially when it comes to her new boyfriend The Weeknd. However, the "Good For You" singer just debuted her Vogue magazine cover spread and was asked 73 questions by the publication – which basically means she had to open up a lot.
From who she would love to collaborate with to what her biggest pet peeve is, fans learned so much about the Texas native. Yet, there was something in particular that turned heads. As the interviewer followed her around her house asking all of these questions Selenators were dying to know the answers to, he snuck in the question about the best surprise she has ever received.
Selena, without hesitation, answered that it was a romantic dinner on a rooftop. OKAY...and that was it. It was super anticlimactic and now there are just so many follow up questions. The biggest thing left to wonder is who was the lucky person that surprised her with this grand gesture?
The first thought that comes to mind is The Weeknd. He's been doing a lot of romantic things for his girl lately including taking her to Florence, Italy, hanging out in his hometown of Toronto, Canada, being with her while on his tour in Europe and whisking her away just before Valentine's Day to board a luxury yacht. After thinking about all of that, it seems like he would be the one to do something as romantic as a rooftop dinner date. Plus, any of the cities that the two have recently been spotted in would make for a perfect backdrop for a rooftop setting.
However, there's another layer to this. The Weeknd and Selena have only been dating for a short while so there is definitely a possibility that the best surprise she has ever been given didn't come from him. As messy as her relationship with Justin Bieber ended, he could have been the one! If shippers remember correctly, he did rent out an entire movie theater for the two to watch Titanic together.
Also, Selena has been linked to a slew of other Hollywood heartthrobs including Niall Horan, Samuel Krost, Zedd and Charlie Puth. To be honest, we could SO see Nialler doing something like this. The guy just seems like a hopeless romantic – at least we'd like to think so. Can you just see him persuading her onto a roof with his adorable Irish accent only to surprise her with a candlelit dinner overlooking a magical skyline?!? WE CAN.
Jokes aside, no one will probably ever know who did the most romantic thing for Selena especially if it was someone other than The Weeknd.
Here's to hoping the "Starboy" singer does something that tops this rooftop dinner date and it's all captured on social media!
