Leave it to Selena Gomez to remind everyone that although she’s the mega-fabulous, super famous singer and actress, she’s literally just the most normal person ever. Who sometimes pretends to be a waitress. Casual.
So here’s what went down: Selena was at a diner with some of her co-stars from the upcoming comedy horror movie she’s filming, The Dead Don’t Die — including Austin Butler and Luka Sabbat (fun fact: Luka is on the show grown-ish along with Sel’s BFF Francia Raisa) — and her friend Connar Franklin, who was on hand for Sel’s recent 26th birthday boat bash. Connar took to her Instagram Story to share a vid of Selena going up to older, unsuspecting customers, asking if they needed any more coffee. Just casually acting as a waitress, no big.

How amazing is that? They clearly have no idea Queen Sel was the one offering up another cup of Joe, and that just makes this moment even better. She recently shared a slideshow of some fun pics on her Instagram and as we can see, the place she was eating at was called “Selena’s Diner.”
So guess that’s why she decided to get involved and offer up her services. LOL, only Selena! She seems to be having a truly solid summer, despite dealing with the fact that her on-and-off-again love Justin Bieber is now engaged to Hailey Baldwin. Well, Sel is doing just fine on her own, working on new projects and having fun with her friends, as she should be. And she’s even giving back to others, as shown by her efforts at trying to be a waitress. If anything, she’s over here channeling her Alex Russo roots, working in the Waverly Sub Station. Or you know, pretending to work since we know that wasn’t always Alex’s strong suit. Selena never forgets where she came from, that’s for sure.
