Selena Gomez has proven time and time again just how strong of a woman she is and, after bravely opening up about the kidney transplant surgery she secretly underwent, the singer is back and stronger than ever. She just went to her first intense workout post-surgery and girl is slaying it.
Sel is currently filming a movie in New York City, so she's been spending tons of time out and about during her downtime and just recently hit up the gym Rumble, where she took a boxing class. And she's already getting into that fighting spirit, according to Rumble co-founder and co-owner Noah D. Neiman.
"She just came in and went hard. We were all, 'Okay, that’s what I’m talking about!'" Noah said to People. "She said, 'No guys, I’ll bring my A game next time' and I was like, 'What?! Look at you, you just had surgery.' She legit has a whole new kidney! But she was great."
Aww, how amazing is that to hear? Girl underwent a major life-changing surgery and she's more than willing to do all she can to make sure she's feeling better than ever before. It looks like Sel is taking a cue from her best friend Francia Raisa, who donated that life-saving kidney to Selena. The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress recently hit the gym again and shared a video of her workout, including the scar she now has on her stomach from the surgery.
While Selena has opening showed off her scar from the transplant as well on Instagram, this time around, Sel left the gym in her workout gear trying to not stir up any attention to her stomach.
Clearly, she's just focused on feeling like her old self again, perhaps even a better version of her former self, if that's even possible. Sel has and always will be one of strongest people out there and she's making everyone proud right now, that's for sure.
