When it comes to behind-the-scenes secrets about Raven’s Home, Sky Katz has all the tea! The 14-year-old triple threat has been playing the role of Tess O’Malley since the Disney Channel series premiered back in 2017. Recently, she caught up with J-14 and dished on what the Raven’s Home set is really like when the camera’s aren’t rolling.
“The cast and crew do this thing called onesie Wednesday and we all wear onesies [every] Wednesday,” she said. “It’s so much fun, but the one day you forget to wear it everyone calls you out. It’s fun, but there’s a little competition in it.”
According to Sky, the entire cast is super close. The “On The Block” singer even revealed that she’s always hanging out with her costars Navia Robinson, Issac Ryan Brown and Jason Maybaum.
“One time we went to the movies and we’ve done karaoke,” she said. “It’s always fun when we hang out off set.”
“I feel like it’s super helpful that we actually like each other because the amount of time we spent together is abnormal and crazy,” she said about the cast’s close bond. “Even best friends do not see each other this much so it’s great that we like each other. If I was stuck with people that I don’t like for this, it wouldn’t be great. So I’m happy we all get along and really love each other.”
The young star even opened up about what it’s been like working with Raven-Symoné for the past two years.
“She’s like my mentor by now with everything she’s taught me.”
Aside from working on season four of Raven’s Home, Sky recently took part in the Disney Channel holiday music event, Holiday Unwrapped.
“It was fun for the fans to see all the shows come together,” she said about the exclusive television special.
