Prepare yourselves for yet another epic DCOM, fam! Sofia Wylie will star in Back of the Net, which will make its debut on the network on June 15. And yeah, we’re absolutely stoked.

In the flick, Sofia will play the role of Cory Bailey, described as “an ace science student who inadvertently winds up inspiring an Australian soccer team to become the champions they were meant to be.”

Yup! Her character heads to Sydney, Australia to spend a semester at sea doing scientific research, but a series of unfortunate and unexpected travel setbacks cause her to miss the boat and wind up at Harold Soccer Academy. Sadly, she basically has little to no interest in the sport, but after having no choice but to stay there for the rest of the summer, she puts her knowledge of soccer to use in order to help the academy’s team absolutely crush it. Kinda cool, right?

Like you, we simply can’t wait for the movie to premiere, and luckily, we won’t have to wait long at all. You see, the flick already premiered in theaters in Australia, and on June 15 at 8 P.M. EDT/PDT, it’ll be available to watch in the U.S. on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. We told you the wait wouldn’t be long!

Not to mention, we’re absolutely positive that Sofia is going to slay in this film — especially considering her history on the Network and all of the other projects she’s currently working on.

The actress is best known for her role as Buffy Driscoll in Disney Channel’s Andi Mack, and in case you somehow missed the news, she’s currently filming the role of Gina in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for the direct-to-consumer streaming service Disney+.

The 15-year-old is also the voice of Riri Williams (AKA Ironheart) in the Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron animated series and recently released a single for Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts called “Side By Side.” Plus, she already has her own production company and a newly released IGTV series.

In other words, Sofia’s absolutely at the top of her game right now, and the news that Back of the Net will be making its way to Disney Channel this coming June just proves she has no plans of slowing down. If you had any prior plans for June 15, it’s time to cancel ’em! Sofia’s headed to our TV screens, and like you, we’ll be glued to Disney Channel at 8 P.M. sharp.
