Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber might be among the biggest stars in the world right now, but it doesn't mean that they have free reign to perform anywhere they want. Believe it or not, some celebrities have actually been banned from performing in foreign countries because of their scandalous behavior. Yikes!

And in some cases, a celebrity's behavior might not seem particularly "bad" but still caused problems. Selena Gomez, for instance, was reportedly stopped from performing in China because she took a photo with the Dalai Lama back in 2014. The country has tense relations with the spiritual leader, and he has been banned from the country after he led a failed uprising against Chinese occupation in Tibet back in 1959.

Lady Gaga was similarly banned from performing in China because she met with the Dalai Lama as well. The "Poker Face" singer was also forced to cancel her sold-out show in Malaysia because authorities disapproved of her song "Born This Way," and she was not about censoring her song's powerful message about accepting people for who they are.
