You'd think that taking on a new movie or TV role is always fun for celebrities. But believe it or not, some stars actually hated their on-screen roles. Yes, yes – we know. It's hard to come to terms with the fact that the stars you love may not love their characters as much as we do. It's pretty sad, tbh. But hey, it happens.

Just take Hannah Montana, for example. The teen pop sensation living a double life was an icon to many (we'll never stop loving her, FYI), but Miley Cyrus wasn't all about Hannah IRL. Not to say she isn't grateful or anything, but there were definitely aspects that she looks back on in disapproval. She even compared the experience to Toddlers & Tiaras – ouch.

The "Malibu" singer isn't the only Disney Channel alum who feels this way. As much as every High School Musical fan grew up idolizing Troy Bolton, Zac Efron doesn't quite agree. Check out the gallery to see all the stars who actually shaded their own TV and movie roles.
