OH EM GEE, get ready because Taylor Swift is opening the 2018 American Music Awards. That’s right, the songstress is set to perform “I Did Something Bad” and she took to Instagram to share the official update, featuring an appearance by her totally unimpressed cat, Meredith.

“Good morning, America, it’s Taylor. I just wanted to say I’m going to be opening up the American Music Awards with a performance. Don’t be too excited about it, my God,” Taylor says in the clip, referring to Meredith’s sassy walk away as she was explaining the deets. LOL, only her cats could honestly care less that you know, their mom is THE T. Swift.

Taylor’s return to the AMAs stage marks the first time in nearly three years the 28-year-old has performed at an awards show. So you know she’s going to bring her A-game! And for those Swifties who were lucky enough to catch a show of her Reputation Stadium Tour, then you know her performance of “I Did Something Bad” is a major highlight of the concert, so prepare yourselves to see this all come to life on your TV screens. The song is an empowering tune that fans have speculated might just be about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris or referencing all that drama she had with rapper Kanye West. In the lyrics, she sings,

“They say I did something bad
Then why’s it feel so good?
They say I did something bad
But why’s it feel so good?
Most fun I ever had
And I’d do it over and over and over again if I could
It just felt so good, good”

Fans took this as Taylor calling attention to the fact that she did confirm that she was the one who co-wrote Calvin’s song “This Is What You Came For” after they broke up – and how she defended herself after Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian released a phone call between Tay and Ye, where she seemingly gave confirmation for him to drop her name in his song “Famous.” As we all know, Taylor wasn’t happy with how the lyrics of that song turned out – and well, perhaps “IDSB” is her way of letting the world know that she doesn’t regret anything. And maybe just maybe, she’ll walk the red carpet with her bae, Joe Alwyn. Now that would really send everyone into freakout mode!

Make sure you tune in to the 2018 AMAs on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
