J-14 reported a few weeks ago that Taylor Swift might be making a Netflix movie of her Reputation Stadium Tour, and now, the singer has just confirmed that it’s happening! OMG. It turns out, we’re only weeks away from reliving our favorite concert over and over again! The movie will drop on Dec. 31, 2018, at 12:01 a.m. PT — yeah, that’s right we are only 18 DAYS AWAY. The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer just dropped the trailer, in honor of her 29th birthday, and we are totally freaking out.
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes! Today I finally get to show you something we’ve been working on for a while… the trailer for the Reputation Stadium Tour! The entire concert film will premiere on @Netflix at 12:01AM PT December 31. pic.twitter.com/ZL3Kx2OUx8

“Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes!” she wrote on Twitter. “Today I finally get to show you something we’ve been working on for a while… the trailer for the Reputation Stadium Tour!”
The teaser is filled with epic moments from the tour — which including giant, blowup snakes, over 15 dancers, confetti blasters, fireworks, gorgeous costumes, and amazing choreography, of course. “When she fell, she fell apart. When she finally rose, she rose slowly. She heard echoes of new words. Without your past, you could never have arrived here,” Taylor could be heard saying in the trailer. “Welcome to the Reputation Stadium Tour.”
Wow, does anyone else have chills? Rumors started circulating the web about the movie last month, after a fan with the Instagram username @taylor_swift_tokyo attended the last show of the tour in Tokyo on Nov. 21, where he was chosen to meet the 29-year-old in her infamous Rep Room. The fan claimed that during the M&G, he was being filmed, which caused fans to speculate that the singer might be turning her epic concert into a movie!
“They were filming me when [Taylor’s mom] gave me the rep room and also when everyone was in the actual rep room,” the fan wrote on Instagram. “We all had to sign a consent form to show our face and I read the whole contract and it had ‘Netflix’ on the contract.”
We are so glad this rumor turned out to be true since we’re still watching our concert videos on repeat, TBH. Um, can you imagine not only being able to watch the tour whenever you feel like it, but getting a front row view of the action? Well, it’s going to be a reality soon! Get the popcorn, we are SO ready for it.
