On Saturday, April 18, Lady Gaga, the World Health Organization and Global Citizen teamed up to host a star-studded, televised concert in an attempt to raise money for charity amid the growing coronavirus pandemic. Over 70 stars performed for the “One World: Together at Home” event, but one musician made headlines more than others. That’s right, Charlie Puth went viral after singing “Attention” from the comfort of his own home. Why? Well, fans hilariously trolled the musician online for forgetting to make his bed before going live.
Upon seeing the comments on Twitter, the 28-year-old responded.
“Ooops I forgot to make my bed,” he wrote. He then added, “Honestly… I don’t think I’ve made my bed since 2008.”
Mood. For those who missed it, some social media users felt that Charlie’s unmade bed was super relatable, while others said he should have definitely neatened up before performing to the world.
A third said, “Charlie Puth couldn’t be bothered to make his bed before his performance and that’s the most relatable content I’ve seen yet from a celeb during this quarantine.”
Aside from Charlie, stars like Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Awkwafina, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew McConaughey, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Usher, Victoria Beckham, Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Angèle, Anitta, Annie Lennox, Becky G, Ben Platt, Billy Ray Cyrus, Black Coffee, Bridget Moynahan, Burna Boy, Cassper Nyovest, Christine and the Queens, Common, Connie Britton, Danai Gurira, Delta Goodrem, Don Cheadle, Eason Chan, Ellie Goulding, Erin Richards, FINNEAS, Heidi Klum, Hozier, Hussain Al Jassmi, Jack Black, Jacky Cheung, Jack Johnson, Jameela Jamil, James McAvoy, Jason Segel, Jennifer Hudson, Jess Glynne, Jessie J, Jessie Reyez, John Legend, Juanes, Kesha, Lady Antebellum, Lang Lang, Leslie Odom Jr., Lewis Hamilton, Liam Payne, Lili Reinhart, Lilly Singh, Lindsey Vonn, Lisa Mishra, Lola Lennox, Luis Fonsi, Maren Morris, Matt Bomer, Megan Rapinoe, Michael Bublé, Milky Chance, Naomi Osaka, Natti Natasha, Niall Horan, Nomzamo Mbatha, P.K. Medical professionals have called for “social distancing” to prevent further spreading of the illness, which is defined as “trying to keep yourself away from other people, especially large crowds.” Because of this many events, concerts, award shows, conventions and festivals have been canceled, including all Broadway plays and sports games. People are urged to stay indoors, avoid public places and isolate themselves during this time.
