The final Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, hit theaters back in 2012, and now that all this time has passed, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t miss showing up to the midnight screenings each time a new flick came out. Fortunately, there’s finally something Twihards can look forward to, and it’s a world tour. Wait, what?

Yup! Lionsgate announced on Thursday, May 2 that the original Twilight movie is hitting the road for “a series of live-to-film performances,” and we’re already pulling out our “Team Edward” merch. Per the announcement, the movie will screen in several different countries while accompanied by live performances of Carter Burwell’s original score. The best part? It’ll be performed by a full orchestra!

So when does the tour officially kick off? Great question! Twilight in Concert will begin in Brazil in August 2019, and the tour will also hit Australia and the U.K. so that diehard Twihards can enjoy it there as well. How exciting is that?!

We’re not the only ones who are stoked for this concert to actually happen, though. Lionsgate is super excited also — especially considering how positively people reacted to similar events that were inspired by The Hunger Games and La La Land.

“We’re thrilled to launch another live-to-film tour in the footsteps of our Hunger Games and La La Land international concert events,” Jenefer Brown, Lionsgate’s SVP of global live and location-based entertainment, said in a statement. “The combination of author Stephenie Meyer’s brilliant storytelling, Carter Burwell’s musical genius, and a truly legendary underlying film and book property will continue to expand the world of Twilight and introduce it to legions of new fans around the world.”

As OG fans of Twilight, we’re so glad to see the legacy continue. And even though Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may not be on the tour themselves, hearing the music being performed by an orchestra live and in person will be enough to make it feel like it’s 2008 again.
