This may come as a shock, but Wednesday, April 1, 2020, marks the 41st anniversary since Nickelodeon premiered — so it’s a pretty monumental day!
OK, so get this — the TV channel was actually called C-3 at first. It technically was started on December 1, 1977, and it was the first cable channel for children! Then, on April 1, 1979 the network was relaunched as Nickelodeon, which went on to become the channel we all know and love.
It’s safe to say that Nickelodeon was a big part of a lot of people’s childhoods. We mean, pretty much everyone watched shows like iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Zoey 101, Big Time Rush and Unfabulous back in the day, which is why ever since they ended, fans have longed for them to come back. Seriously, imagine how iconic it would be if one of Nickelodeon’s old classic shows got rebooted?!
