Following backlash over his old videos and claims that he “manipulated” Tati Westbrook, YouTube has demonetized Shane Dawson‘s channel.

According to Buzzfeed News, the video streaming site confirmed that they demonetized his account for an indefinite amount of time starting on Monday, June 29. That means he won’t be able to make money through advertising on his videos, which get tens of millions of views each month.

That’s not all. Morphe and Target also seemingly removed the social media star’s products from their stores. In a statement made to Insider, Target confirmed that they would no longer be selling Shane’s books — I Hate Myselfie: A Collection of Essays by Shane Dawson and It Gets Worse: A Collection of Essays.

“We’re committed to creating an experience in which all guests feel welcomed and respected. We’re in the process of removing these books from our assortment,” the statement read.

As for Morphe, the brand has not confirmed or denied the removal of the influencer’s products, but fans on Twitter noticed that the Conspiracy Collection — which the 31-year-old made in collaboration with friend Jeffree Star — had been removed from the website. Some social media users shared alleged screenshots of Morphe’s site, and after they searched for the Conspiracy Collection, no products came up.

For those who missed it, Shane has come under fire recently from Jaden Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith for “sexualizing” Willow Smith when she was 11 years old, and “doing blackface on the regular” in resurfaced old clips.

Tati also posted a tell-all video on Tuesday, June 30, claiming that Shane and Jeffree “coerced and manipulated” her into turning on fellow beauty vlogger James Charles. For those who missed it, back in May 2019, Tati shook the entire web when she posted a video called “Bye Sisters” where she accused James of lying, manipulating and being a disrespectful person, after he supported one of her rival vitamin companies.

Tati explained in the video that although she did not agree with some of James’ actions, “none of her concerns became overwhelming until she met Shane.” She claimed that she only made the video “because of all the poisonous lies that were fed to her by Shane and Jeffree.”

“I should have known better than to fall for their lies and manipulation but in the end I failed and, instead, I allowed Shane and Jeffree to put a wedge between our friendship,” the YouTuber said.

Shane responded and claimed that all her statements were “lies.” He also apologized for his past actions.
