Ever since it was released in 2017, TikTok has become the internet’s latest obsession. For those who don’t know, the app is a video-sharing social networking service, which gives its users the option to dub in music or various sounds into their videos. Well guys, you might want to brace yourselves because YouTube is reportedly working on their own app just like TikTok, and we seriously cannot wait for this.

Yep, according to The Information, YouTube’s TikTok rival app will have a feed for user-posted videos and will allow users to incorporate songs from YouTube Music. Sources told the outlet that it will be available before the end of the year.

TikTok has definitely been taking the world by storm lately, and everyone — including your favorite celebs — cannot get enough of it. That’s right, Hollywood’s biggest stars have made TikTok accounts of their own, and the videos they have posted are pretty epic so far.

Take Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, for example. They recently shared clips of themselves dancing and singing to the High School Musical song “We’re All In This Together,” and it made fans pretty emotional, TBH. What about Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson? Their TikTok videos have everyone on the internet talking these days. Oh, and let’s not forget the time the Jonas Brothers reenacted an old Camp Rock scene on the app! They’re not the only ones. Celebrities like Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Dove Cameron, Justin BieberDemi LovatoCamila Cabello and tons more have all also posted some pretty epic content on TikTok recently.

For those who missed it, the exciting news comes just months after Vine (renamed as Byte) made its official return. On January 24, 2020, cofounder of the six-second video streaming app, Dom Hofmann, announced that it was back and better than ever — a little over two years after it was shut down.
