Trigger warning: This post contains reference to stalking and assault.

Vanessa Martinez, who goes by Simplynessa15, bravely dropped a video that's about a heavy subject, but sadly affects many women. In an emotional vlog, the 19-year-old YouTube star describes the horrifying reason that she's terrified for her life. She's been stalked and assaulted multiple times by the same man, one she initially thought was her friend.

He followed Vanessa and her friend into their hotel, even after she kept trying to send him signals to leave. When her friend left her alone with the guy in the room, he tried to sexually assault her, even as she tried to push him away.

"I was left with bruises on my thighs and on my arms, and at one point he even bit me [on my shoulder]," she said.

Although her friend eventually came back, he wouldn't leave her alone, even after she blocked him on all forms of social media. He's texted her from fake numbers and created new Instagram accounts to send her messages.

Sadly, the YouTuber says that one of the reasons she wears wigs (and rotates her wigs pretty much "every day") is because she doesn't want him to recognize her.

"I get scared that I'm going to be recognized by him. I didn't want him to come and do what he did yesterday. I want to be able to go out in public," she said, before detailing a scary encounter that got physical, just a few days before.

Vanessa was shopping at one of her favorite stores, and he physically assaulted her.

"I walk past him, and the moment that I do, he grabs my shoulder and he asks me, 'Oh hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened to you? Why haven't you been replying to my messages?' I was just in so much shock that I didn't know what to say because I've told this boy so many times before [to leave me alone]. He's not even a boy, he's a couple years from 30, he is not young…this is a grown man," she said.

"Because I was just standing there not saying anything to him, he shoved me. He just shoved me. It wasn't the kind of shove that was like, 'Hello, I'm talking to you.' It was an angry shove. He shoved me…I had to catch myself so I wouldn't fall down."

She says that she has contacted the police, and plans on handling the situation in court. Before she posted her video, she opened up about her scary stalker situation on Twitter, and it's absolutely heartbreaking.

Even though she is an active member of the YouTube community, Vanessa explained that she hasn't been posting or vlogging much because of this stressful situation. However, she wanted to share this message in order to help other girls who are struggling with similar things.
