Unfortunately, this isn't Chris Brown's first run-in with the police. The rapper was accused of domestic violence towards his then-girlfriend Rihanna a few years ago. Now, he's been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Yesterday, Chris locked himself in his home for hours while police surrounded the property.
It all allegedly started in the early hours of Tuesday morning during a party going on at Chris' Tarzana, California mansion. Things got out of control when a woman named, Baylee Curran, said she was looking at the rapper's jewelry and he pulled the weapon on her.
She told E! News, "I did not pick it up. I did not touch it, take it or grab it, anything of that sort."
Baylee also spoke with Extra saying, "Chris came in, pulled out his gun and said, ‘I’m getting so sick of you people,’ pointed the gun at me, [and told me] to get the eff out of the house."
During the standoff with police, Chris posted a video on Instagram claiming that nothing had happened and he was innocent. When he finally emerged from his home, he was arrested on the spot. He has reportedly been released on a $250,000 bail and his attorney, Mark Geragos, has claimed that he is doing well.
Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy— Mark Geragos (@markgeragos) August 31, 2016
Chris is set to figure all of this out in court on September 20th.
