Hey Austin Mahone, is that you? It’s hard to tell with his recent haircut. You might want to brace yourselves because the singer just chopped off all of his luscious locks, and he looks complete different now!

The “What About Love” crooner showed off the drastic new look while leaving Delilah Nightclub in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 21. The 23-year-old is now rocking a buzzed cut — and naturally, the internet quickly went wild.

Fans took to Twitter to freak over the new look.

“AUSTIN MAHONE CUT HIS HAIR AND IS LOOKING EVEN FINER OML JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL,” one fan gushed, while another added, “Austin Mahone cut all his hair off and now I want him more.”

Some Mahomies have theorized that the former YouTube star’s new ‘do has something to do with a new role he may have landed. Why? Well, back in August, Austin revealed that he had auditioned for something, and although he didn’t disclose what it was for, he did say that he totally “crushed it.”

“I’m hypothesizing that you cut your hair for that role you auditioned for recently?” one fan suggested on Twitter.

“So the lack of hair means you passed the audition you went to?” another quipped.

As fans know, Austin has acted in a few TV shows in the past. He made a guest appearance in the show Big Time Rush, when he played himself. He also starred as Young Adam in an episode of The Millers.

“I’d like to do more acting jobs and more shows and stuff. It’s fun and any time I have an opportunity to act, I do it,” he told Sugarscape back in 2014.

Well, whether it’s for a new role or not, we are loving Austin’s new hairstyle.
