Former Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is being accused of rape by actress Kristina Cohen. In a lengthy Facebook post, Kristina detailed the sexual assault, which took place three years ago, at the actor's house. Kristina met Ed through a producer she was briefly dating at the time. Deadline reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the case.

According to the post, Kristina, 27, was immediately uncomfortable at the house after Ed suggested the trio "all [hook up]" but was encouraged to stay by her boyfriend. Kristina went to take a nap in his guest room and was soon awoken by Ed on top of her.

"I told him to stop, but he was strong," the Ladies Like Us star wrote. "I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me…I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me."

She continued, "It was a nightmare, and the days following weren’t any better." She went on to explain that her decision to remain silent was due to her then boyfriend's claims that the allegations would ruin her acting career and she would be labeled, "that girl." She also explained how her mother was dying of cancer at the time and she did not have the support system to "deal with the aftermath of the rape."

However, Kristina is bravely sharing her story today, inspired by the women who have come forward and spoken out against other predators in Hollywood. "I’m sickened to see men like Ed respected in such a public way. Interviewed by prestigious platforms such as the Oxford Union Society at Oxford University, where he was honored as one of their 'People who Shape our World,'" she added. "How does this end? Men like Ed using fame and power to rape and intimidate but then continue through the world collecting accolades… I hope that my stories and the stories of others help to reset and realign the toxic environments and power imbalances that have created these monsters."

Ed has responded to the allegations, and denies he ever came into contact with his accuser. "I do not know this woman," he wrote on social media. "I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape."

Two people have come forward to corroborate Kristina's statement. Her friend, Blaise Godbe Lipman, and sister, Katalina Colgate, both spoke with Deadline. Blaise said Kristina came to his house after the assault.

"She came over to my home the following morning and told me everything,” he said. “She was in a state of shock. It was without a doubt a rape. I’ve known her since 2009. We were teen actors. We worked on a few projects over the years. We met on the Warner Bros. lot in 2008.”

Katalina added, "Very shortly after it happened, she told me that she was raped. She told me and my other sister. I was furious."

Although Kristina's boyfriend at the time went unnamed in her Facebook post, Blaise and Kristina later identified him as Kaine Harling, an Australian producer.

“He told her not to say anything because Ed has a lot of money and resources and no one would believe her,” Blaise said. “He said she could kiss her acting career goodbye because nobody would believe her. She was pressured to keep quite and keep her mouth shut.”
