Get ready, Secret Life of the American Teenager fans, because two stars from the series are about to reunite to film a new movie together — more than 12 years after the Freeform show first premiered! Yep, Shailene Woodley is set to star in the upcoming flick The Fallout, which is being directed by her former costar Megan Park, and we cannot wait to see them together again!

According to Deadline, the new film is going to be about a “high schooler named Vada who navigates the emotional fallout she experiences in the wake of a school tragedy. Relationships with her family, friends and view on the world are forever altered.”

And get this, you guys — besides directing it, Megan also wrote the new movie! It is also set to star Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Niles Fitch, Julie Bowen, John Ortiz and Will Ropp, and boy, does it sound like it’s going to be epic!

On August 11, 2020, the blonde beauty took to Instagram and announced that production had begun on the movie.

“I started directing my first feature film last week,” Megan wrote.

And on August 26, 2020, she gave fans a much-needed update!

“I’m halfway through directing my first feature, The Fallout, and I think this picture perfectly sums up the vibe,” she captioned a show of Maddie and Jenna goofing off in a hot tub together. “Are you excited?”

Yes, we certainly are! It’s unclear who Shailene is going to play or when it’s going to come out, but production is reportedly going to wrap this week.

For those who forgot, Secret Life first premiered in July 2008. It went on for five epic seasons before it concluded in June 2013, and viewers were pretty sad to see it go. Besides Megan and Shailene, it also starred Ken BaumannDaren KagasoffGreg Finley, Francia Raisa and more. The series was about a girl named Amy Juergens who found out she was pregnant after a fling at band camp, and there’s not a day that goes by that fans don’t miss it, TBH.
