After everyone from fans to celebrities like G Hannelius have criticized Ariana Grande's donut shop incident, the singer has released a heartfelt apology about the encounter. While she doesn't address the pastry-licking aspect of her controversial night, she apologized again for her comments about America.
"I feel like in the apology I posted, I missed my opportunity to sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling because I was preaching about my issues with the food industry. Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly — that you have no idea was taken — is such a rude awakening, that you don’t know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself.”
The pop star also admitted that it's hard to be in the public eye and make mistakes, and she says that she's still learning a lot.
"I'm 22 years old. I'm human. I've still got a lot to learn. I make mistakes, and that's how I'm going to learn," she says.
We definitely appreciate that she feels so passionately about making it up to her Arianators that she recorded a video about it, even while she's recovering from wisdom teeth surgery. But she's still not really addressing the part that everyone is freaking out about: the donut licking! Maybe this is just her way of saying it will never happen again.
