Four of everyone's favorite social media stars are under fire for cultural appropriation after debuting hairstyles that many are deeming inappropriate. Cameron Dallas, Jack Johnson, Matthew Espinosa and Aaron Carpenter happened to get similar braided hairstyles recently, and some fans are finding it offensive.
The pictures they posted of the looks caused a lot of buzz and received comments calling them out for appropriating black culture. Each of the stars' comments sections are filled with people saying that the social media influencers' choice of hairstyle is not okay.
Although the comments section underneath Cameron's photo was filled with messages about his hairstyle, his caption did not acknowledge the braids at all.

"My sister is my world ? ????," he wrote alongside the selfie, which shows Cameron and his sister Sierra Dallas on a parasailing adventure in Turks and Caicos. In the photo, Cameron has his hair twisted into tight braids with colorful beads on the end of each strand.
While some commenters told him things like, "Luv u but u can't do this" – others said there was nothing wrong with it.
He even took to Twitter to show off a photo of the braiding process, thanking the woman who did it for him.
"Thanks Nadine for the Braids ? #BestInTurks," he tweeted.
Shortly after this went down, Jack Johnson of Jack & Jack debuted braids while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for his birthday.
"Mexico Baby ??," he wrote alongside the first photo he shared.

"Cultural appropriation isn't the new trend. Take them off," one fan wrote.
Soon after, Matthew took to Instagram to show off his braided hairstyle. "One happy boy," his caption read.
Many people in his comments sections weren't happy though.
"I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt & assume that you aren't aware that you're appropriating culture," someone wrote.
Following Cameron, Jack and Matthew's braid debuts, Aaron Carpenter also tried out the look. He took to Instagram to show off his cornrows with the caption, "Braidz." Just like the other boys' photos, his comments section got the same mix of praise and anger.
