While Selena Gomez may have stayed behind the cameras during her work on 13 Reasons Why, there’s now word buzzing around that our girl is about to partake in an on-screen acting role this time around. Before anyone gets their hopes up here, it’s not a gig in 13 Reasons Why Season 2. The “Fetish” singer has reportedly signed on to Woody Allen’s new project which is currently untitled. Selena will star alongside some other major Hollywood names including Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning.
The film is being produced by Amazon Studios and not only has the title been kept a secret but also what this project is actually about. Unfortunately, there are very little details surrounding the whole thing. But, that’s usually how Woody Allen does things so fans can’t be completely shocked.

Regardless of the very sparse details, Selena is in a movie, YOU GUYS. This is something to be super excited about in and of itself. She has had her fair share of acting over the years including The Fundamentals of Caring, In Dubious Battle and Spring Breakers to name a few. Sel is also lending her voice to the character Mavis in Hotel Transylvania 3 which is set to be released in 2018. But, this new film could be her biggest hit yet.

Real Selenators know that their idol has been even doing a bit of acting recently when it comes to her music. Selena released the video for her track “Bad Liar” which told the story of a girl who was secretly in love with her female gym teacher. The only problem was her dad was sneaking around with the gym teacher, too. Oh yeah, and her mom was suspicious of it all too. The acting in her videos didn’t stop there, either. Selena released the music video for her song, “Fetish” and it had all sorts of creepy acting by the queen herself.
So, it’s safe to say Selena has a knack for portraying different characters and other personalities besides herself. Our fingers crossed this Woody Allen project helps Selena make a name for herself in the Hollywood movie industry. Can you say triple threat?!
