For most artists, creating the perfect hit song can take hours — or maybe even days. But singers like Meghan Trainor and the Jonas Brothers make the whole process look like a piece of cake, because somehow, they've managed to write major songs in under 15 minutes! That's less than the amount of time it takes some people to put together an outfit!

“[It] was the last song I got to write with [Kevin Kadish] for the album. And…it was the fastest song I’ve ever wrote in my life. We wrote it in eight minutes. I kind of freaked out ’cause I looked at the clock, I was like, ‘Wait a second, did we start this eight minutes ago?’ And we freaked out and realized, ‘Yeah!'” Meghan said.

"I wrote the song on July 17 at 6 p.m. I know that because I have it saved in my phone, the lyric note. … I want to frame that. I wrote it in 10 minutes, which is very unusual — usually songs take a little bit longer to write for me," Charlie said.

The girls were going through a tough time with their album and they got super emotional, thinking that the group might break up. Thankfully, they didn't, and they ended up writing a song about it.

"We literally spent all day [moaning] then we wrote this song in, I'd say, fifteen minutes. If that," Perrie Edwards said.

Sia wrote not one, but two major hits in practically no time. One took 12-15 minutes while the other took 14.

"'Chandelier' took like four minutes to write the chords, then like 12-15 minutes to write the lyrics," she said.

And as for "Diamonds," Sia wrote the hit song in Rihanna’s studio in just 14 minutes.

Her current boyfriend, Blake Shelton, inspired her to write the song!

"It just came out. It was like, I had been feeling that way. It's just exactly what I felt that day. 'I miss you right now. Here it is.' And everybody in the room was just kind of like, 'Whoa, this is happening right now.' It was written fast. Like, 10, 15 minutes," Gwen said.
