Taylor Swift has apologized to Nicki Minaj after their huge Twitter controversy yesterday! The "Shake It Off" singer said she's sorry she misunderstood the rapper's comments about the 2015 Video Music Awards. She insists that she thought the "Anaconda" singer was attacking her on Twitter, but in retrospect, she spoke out of line.
This is a really nice apology! It's sweet, to the point, and doesn't get defensive. Of course, Katy Perry joined the fray with her own comments about the situation yesterday — but Taylor hasn't responded to what her pop star nemesis said.
Still, we're happy that she apologized, and that Nicki accepted her apology. The rapper tweeted that Taylor's response meant a lot to her.
That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13 ❤️❤️❤️

And she says that she respects her for speaking up.
I've always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let's move on. https://t.co/mx9pfIdnzT
