There was a huge football game yesterday, but it was really Lady Gaga who was the real MVP of the night.
The "Born This Way" singer performed during the Super Bowl halftime show in Houston, Texas and it could go down as one of the most legendary shows in NFL history. She actually started the whole thing out by standing on the roof of the stadium. From there, she jumped — harnessed in, of course — and quite literally flew down to the center of the field where she took the stage.
There were lights, fireworks, scores of dancers and quick costume changes. She really went all out and no one can say otherwise. At one point, she even stepped into the crowd and hugged a fan! Lady Gaga is everything and her performance was definitely even more amazing than fans could have predicted.
After she actually dropped the mic on an epic performance, Lady Gaga was caught crying backstage. So, why did the sudden waterworks come over her? Because she was so ecstatic about what had just happened!
A source told E! News, "She was so happy with her performance. It was everything and more than what she expected. She is so emotional now and so pleased. She thanked everyone involved with this production. She is so kind and thankful to everyone working with her."
Before Gaga took the world by storm at halftime she posted a photo on Instagram dedicated to her fans.
She wrote, "I want to say thank you to my fans for cheering me on all these years. There will not be any guest performers tonight, I'm doing these 13 minutes solo! I dedicate every second to the love, diversity, compassion, and wild spirit of our fan base. To that kid who felt unwanted, or the grown up who remembers how hard it was to find acceptance. This is for you. It is also for those whose hearts and minds have opened to our message. Thank you for believing in us so we could be here today little monsters this is YOUR stage. And I'm gonna leave my heart on it so you never forget it. Let's do this. Xoxo Love, Gaga p.s I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🏈."
Congratulations on an amazing performance, Gaga! You go, girl!
