Dove Cameron has quickly emerged as a current Disney Channel queen and while she’s starred on her own show Liv and Maddie and has had lead roles in three Disney Channel Original Movies, it looks like her time on the network may officially be coming to an end. At least according to some tweets she liked. It all goes down in the Twitter likes, let me tell you.

Dove is known for interacting and engaging with her fans on social media and some fans were tweeting about the starlet, letting her know they’re ready to support her and her career, no matter what she does next. One fan brought up the fact that Dove is now almost 22-years-old, and it’s time for her to do something else and not another show on the network. Besides filming possibly another Descendants movie, this fan is ready to see Dove branch out even more than she already has and by Dove liking the tweets, we can’t help but think she totally agrees too.

Now as much as we would all love to see Dove star in another series on the network, there’s about a 1% chance she would star in another show. Typically, a star with a leading role on the network usually films one show and that’s it, with the exception of Dylan and Cole Sprouse having two Suite Life-based shows, Zendaya starring in two separate series, and Raven-Symoné coming back for the That’s So Raven spin-off, Raven’s Home. Most of the time, the actors just simply grow up and realize it’s time to move on to something else entirely, breaking away from Disney Channel. Now, we’re going to believe there is a very strong possibility for a D3 so she would for sure be down to reprise her role as Mal, since Dove has said she truly loves being a part of Descendants and would be down to film as many of these musicals as she’s allowed to. But considering she almost passed on accepting her two roles on Liv and Maddie when it was first offered to her, it’s not surprising she’s ready to move on.

“I crumbled and panicked, because I knew everybody would think it’s a dream come true, but I was having genuine panic attacks because I knew that Disney Channel was an overnight thing, and my dad had just died, and I was not trying to be in front of everybody because I couldn’t even process myself,” she confessed to Entertainment Weekly. “But I was sobbing to my mom, who helped me weigh the pros and cons, and I finally got clear-eyed when I realized that Disney Channel is for kids. And I love kids. And I was going to get to work with kids all the time. And I started to cry all over again. Because what a treat, to be able to be someone for kids, to be a good role model, to be a big sister because I never was one.”

It’s no secret Dove’s fans mean the most to her and she wants to be that positive role model for her young fans. We’re sure that once she does officially say goodbye to Disney Channel, she’ll still be [working on projects] that all of her fans will be able to enjoy. She does have solo music in the works she’s been teasing us all about for quite some time now too, so that will for sure hold everyone over until she maybe stars in a new show or a new movie. The world is for Dove to conquer and we’re here for it.
