Emma Roberts takes a turn from her sweet romance in Valentine's Day to star in the horror flick Scream 4 (in theaters now). The mega-talented actress chatted exclusively with J-14 and dished about getting spooked on set, her biggest real-life fear, and her serious case of Bieber Fever!
J-14: Tell us about your Scream 4 character, Jill.
Emma Roberts: It's Jill Roberts, which is kind of funny because that's my last name, obviously. In the beginning of the movie, I think she's a lot more reserved that I am. I'm definitely more kind of social and outgoing. She is similar to how Sidney Prescott is in the first Scream, kind of a girl-next-door type of thing.
J-14: What was it like being on set with Hayden Panettierre and all the other young actors?
Emma: So much fun. Hayden is so fun. I actually just saw her last night after our press junket. We get along really well. We had so much fun getting to work together and hanging out offset. We were in Michigan for about three months, so it was nice to have people that you felt comfortable hanging out with when you're not working on the weekends.
J-14: Did you guys play any pranks on set?
Emma: Wes Craven [the director] definitely played pranks on us. He would do this to everyone individually, where you'd be doing a scene and the camera would be rolling and he would have someone wear the Scream mask and pop out and you weren't expecting it, so there are some really funny on-camera freak outs.
J-14: What would you say is your biggest real-life fear?
Emma: Hmm, that's a good one. Sometimes I get scared when I'm in my house and it's late at night because I just get freaked out. But an actual, tangible fear is that I get really scared of spiders and bugs.
J-14: You recently saw Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Tweeted that you've become quite a fan.
Emma: My 10-year old sister passed on Bieber Fever to me and so we both love Justin Bieber!
