Last week marked a very special occasion in Justin Bieber's life --Â not only was his album 'Believe' named the bestselling album debut of 2012, but Justin also graduated from high school!
After leaving his hometown of Stratford, ON, at age 13, Justin kept up his studies via online work and his private tutor. "Justin chose to keep aspects of his education quiet," Dan Parr, a superintendent for the local school board in Stratford, says.
When St. Michael Catholic Secondary School held their commencement ceremony last Thursday night, however, Justin was still very much a part of it -- his name was even listed in the program among the graduates!
"We are very proud of Justin and all of the other 192 graduates of St. Michael," Principal Tim Doherty says.
In May, Ellen DeGeneres held a fake graduation ceremony for Justin on her show, complete with cap and gown. "I know you didn't have a traditional graduation ceremony, so I'm going to give you one right now," Ellen said, as she handed Justin a faux diploma. "You've accomplished so much! You're an international superstar... When I was 18, my biggest accomplishment was drinking a whole bottle of boysenberry syrup from the International House of Pancakes."
Now that Justin Bieber has his received his actual high school diploma, leave your congrats below!
