The final season of Hannah Montana, Hannah Montana Forever, kicks off this Sunday, July 11, and J-14 is counting down the days. Each day we will post a new Q&A with one of its stars. Yesterday we posted our Q&A with Emily Osment. Today it's Moises Arias' turn. Moises talked to us about how the show has changed his life, his favorite guest stars, and where he is headed once the show is over!
J-14: How has Hannah changed your life?
Moises: My life has changed a lot. I'm originally from Atlanta and my family is from Columbia. My family never thought that anybody from the family would be able to do this. It's been a dream come true. My brother and I came out here for about three months. After a couple of months, we stayed because my brother got a movie and I got Hannah. It's been five years now. The people that keep me grounded are probably my family. When I go back to Atlanta, they treat me like a regular person, which is really cool. It's changed my life because I get to entertain people and they really admire what you do. It's a little harder to walk around, like around the mall. I'm really grateful and happy that I got to do what I really love.
J-14: What has it been like filming in front of a live audience?
Moises: Every Friday when we get to do it in front of an audience, you get those butterflies in your stomach. Hopefully you don't mess up a line. Especially the first time I did it, in front of an audience, it was very scary. I think being scared really gets you excited for your character to be more active and you can sometimes improvise with that. You just have a lot of energy when you're in front of an audience.
J-14: If you could go back to your first day and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be?
Moises: To stay on my toes because Jason improvises a lot. I've learned a lot from him. We improvise a lot. We've got to do a lot of improvised fighting sequences, just because we wanted to.
J-14: Which guest star were you most excited to meet this season?
Moises: Two of the people that I really like to work with are Vickie Lawrence and Dolly Parton. They're really great. They are very, very funny. But somebody on this season that came was actually Iyaz. I really like his music, so I was really excited for him to come on set. He sings a song called "Replay." It's just a really good song. I was excited.
J-14: What is next for you?
Moises: My dream is to be able to direct and write my own stuff with my brother. Right now, I would like to do a role completely different than Rico. I'd like a drama where I'd have to really commit to it and completely change my personality to get into the character. It would be a really big challenge. I would also like to study directing at USC if I get the chance.
