13 Reasons Why star Dylan Minnette is living the high life right now. The show has skyrocketed to success and become Netflix's most popular show ever. But, with all of that, comes lots of fans in all corners of the earth.
Dylan plays the character Clay Jensen in the series who was a friend to Hannah Baker. As we know, Hannah is the one that took her own life and left 13 tapes for her peers to listen to and decide what kind of role they played in her suicide.

The former Goosebumps star opened up to Entertainment Weekly about what it was like to play this character and the scene where he could have maybe saved Hannah's life. Dylan said, "And obviously Clay and Hannah’s story is so amazing and Katherine [Langford] was fantastic, so any scenes with her. The scene where Clay thinks back to what he could’ve said to Hannah to save her life I think is such an impactful scene and meant so much to me when I read it. I don’t know if a scene has ever hit me as much as that. Sitting there reading it, knowing what it means, I’ve never quite felt so attached to a character or scene in anything I’ve ever done."
Recently, he was reminded of Hannah and her death even though – to be clear – she's not a real person and the events that happened in the book and the series are fictional. But, some fans may have taken the whole thing a bit too far this time.
Dylan shared this photo on Instagram with the caption, "I don't know if I should be flattered or scared about this being written on my car? Either way, I'm taking it as a reminder that I need to get my car washed."

Yikes! Of course, it was meant as a joke, but there's been as much success as the series has had, there has also been a lot of criticism. Zara Larsson was actually attacked over her dislike for the show.
She said, "In my opinion, it romanticizes a revenge suicide and it doesn't bring up mental illness or depression AT ALL."
What do you think about the message left on Dylan's car? Was it just a joke from a fan who is in love with his work or is it romanticizing something it should like Zara pointed out?
