It finally happened! After weeks of “will they or won’t they” moments between Alexis Ren and her Dancing With the Stars pro partner Alan Bersten, these two finally kissed and admitted they’re both falling for each other. *Cue the sobs.*
During the pre-taped segment of the show before they hit the ballroom to perform their latest routine, the 24-year-old dancer opened up to the 21-year-old model and confessed that he too has feelings for her.
“I’m in a place where we worked so hard for this amazing journey together, and I’m afraid I will mess that up in some way. But I’ve never had an experience like this,” Alan said on the show. “It’s so easy to just hang out with you and have fun and not worry about everything else. I know you put yourself out there last week and I do have feelings for you. And I really feel like I am falling for you.”
How cute is that?! And then, the two shared a smooch and in it was all just v sweet.
During last week’s episode, Alexis admitted that while she didn’t ever expect anything romantic to happen during her time on the show, she ended up catching feelings for her partner.
“I am developing feelings for Alan. And I didn’t see this one coming. But it happened really quickly though, so I think I’m still trying to process it,” the social media star said. And as the pair both explained to Entertainment Tonight after the show aired, they’re happy they’re able to be open and honest with each other, although it is pretty hard to be so vulnerable in front of so many people who are watching each week.
“I’m not good at opening up. I mean, I didn’t want to leave her hanging! I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” Alan said about why he decided now was the right time to share his feelings. “It felt right. I was scared of that moment!”
Alexis went on to say that while it wasn’t necessarily the easiest to express how she’s feeling in such a public way, she’s glad she did.
“It’s hard to open up. When there are six cameras staring at you and you’re like, ‘I’m just going to spill my heart right now,’ it’s weird!” she said. “After I opened up last week, I felt a little bit embarrassed, but now that we had this talk this week, I feel really good that everything is out in the open.” And if you think this is all just a showmance, well, Alexis took to Twitter to let the world know that she’s not one to fake her feelings.
