Ed Sheeran is recording new music with English band Rudimental and apparently Ellie Goulding is involved with the project! According to band member DJ Locksmith, they made four songs together with Ed and Ellie last year and one of them may finally get released soon.

"We were working in LA last year and he rocked up to our studio with The Game and Ellie Goulding," Locksmith told The Sun. "We made four tracks and revisited one this year to give it a Rudimental spin."

"We've known Ed for years. I remember when we first saw him getting noticed by everyone, he gave us one of his tracks to remix and he said it was one of the best remixes he'd ever had."

Since Locksmith said they only revisited one of the songs we're not getting our hopes up about an Ellie and Ed collaboration – especially since they have a rocky history. Ed is rumored to have written his breakup song "Don't" about Ellie, and we all saw their infamous awkward hug at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Ed may have brought Ellie to the recording studio with him when they were on good terms. But then again, who knows! Maybe the former couple will surprise everyone with an epic new song. Only time will tell!
