Considering all the trolls that celebrities have to deal with on a regular basis, being rich and famous is not always as peachy as it seems. However, it’s comforting to see that these stars usually have their moms for support whenever things get too out of hand.

In the past, we’ve seen fans start outlandish rumors and leave the most offensive comments on social media. For instance, one fan told Zayn Malik that One Direction would be better off without him in the group. And judging by his mother’s reaction, the singer took it very personally.

“Hope you’re happy now that Zayn noticed your tweet !! You can’t even imagine how it made him upset you psyco. You should be ashamed of yourself, plus why do u even follow me if u think 1D would be better without my son?” she said.

It breaks our hearts that Zayn had to deal with such brutal comments, but luckily, he had his amazing mom there to help him through it.

Fifth Harmony‘s Normai Kordei also had a similar experience, where fans kept sending her disturbing and racist tweets. It actually got so bad that she eventually deactivated her Twitter account (temporarily).

“Love goes much further than hate in this world. Hiding behind a computer and putting people down, especially for the color of their skin, doesn’t make you cool, it makes you a coward!” she tweeted.

And not surprisingly, Normani’s mom showed her support by retweeting a ton of supportive comments from fans.

With Mother’s Day coming up so soon, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on all the other times these strong moms stood up for their famous kids.
