Colleen Ballinger, AKA Miranda Sings, just welcomed a baby boy with her fiancé, Erik Stocklin, and we couldn’t be happier for the couple. But we’re all out here wondering, who exactly is Erik? How did they meet? How long have they been together? Don’t worry guys, we’ve got all the details on their super cute romance!

The couple actually met in 2016 on set of the Netflix series Haters Back Off, where Colleen played her YouTube character, Miranda Sings, and Erik played her BFF Patrick, who was hiding a huge crush on her. The stars announced that they were in dating in June 2018, although they later admitted they had actually been together for a while before they made their relationship public.

“It really was just a friendship story that turned into more,” Colleen explained of the relationship at the time. “And we’re very much in love and very much the happiest people ever.”

And why did they take so long to go public? Colleen admitted that her beau was “not an Internet person. He’s not a YouTuber. He’s not a social media star. And he’s really terrified of the Internet.” But she added that she was so in love, she “couldn’t hide it anymore.”

Just weeks after they announced they were dating, Miranda revealed that they were expecting a baby and that the couple was engaged to get married!

“We’re so, so excited,” the 32-year-old told People Magazine at the time. “We’re so in love and can’t wait to meet this kid. It’s just all happening at once, a lot of exciting things coming quickly, which is awesome. I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

So who exactly is Erik? According to his biography on TV Guide, he was born on Oct. 24, 1982, in Freehold, New Jersey. He attended Southern Connecticut State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre in 2007. After graduating college, he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

“I piled what I could into the back of a hand-me-down two-door ‘95 red Saturn and started driving. Alone,” he told Southern Connecticut State University. “A series of misadventures and three weeks later I arrived in L.A. and have been here ever since.”

And what was Erik’s first big role? It was in a Super Bowl commercial! “You audition several times against thousands of other actors being submitted for the part,” he explained. “You get a call from your agent saying you booked the role… You get a call from wardrobe asking about your sizes. Next thing you know you’re on a plane to Vancouver to film a Super Bowl commercial in the absolutely beautiful mountains of British Columbia.”

After that, his career quickly took off. Erik appeared in the films Donner Pass and The Bad Guys, and he’s guest-starred on popular TV shows like Bones, Criminal Minds, Stalker, and The Vampire Diaries. He also landed a role in the 2013 series Mistresses alongside Alyssa Milano and Jennifer Esposito!

Before meeting Erik, Colleen married fellow YouTube star Joshua David Evans back in 2015, but they got divorced a year later. We’re so happy that Colleen and Erik found each other!
