Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have been engaged for over a year, but the One Direction singer says that he has no plans to get married any time soon. In an interview with BBC Breakfast, he revealed that he hasn't even thought about their wedding!
When the host asked if he was finally going to marry Perrie next year, he admitted that their future nuptials haven't been on his mind at all.
"I haven't really thought about getting married yet," he said.
Despite rumors that the couple has been fighting over their wedding plans, Zayn says that they haven't had time to plan anything because their schedules have been so crazy-busy.
“We're just kind of engaged. We haven't really thought about the wedding side of things yet, or how we’re going to do that. We haven't really had time to organize that.”
Harry Styles even joked about their delayed plans, saying, “They’re doing it for the presents, how many times do I have to tell everyone!”
While we're a little surprised that he hasn't done any wedding planning — especially because he orchestrated such an amazing birthday party for his fiancé — we understand that he's been super-busy with their Where We Are tour.
Of course, the guys are going on their On the Road Again tour next year and have their new album Four coming out this month, so his schedule is going to be equally jam-packed in the future. Plus, Little Mix is hard at work on their third album. Perrie might not have time for wedding planning either! At this rate, we have no clue when they'll get married, but it sounds like they're not too worried about their long engagement.
