J-14: How are you similar and different from your character? Elizabeth Gillies: Although I'm definitely not as mean as Jade, I do see a bit of myself in her. We're both very strong and we have a very similar sense of humor. I also LOVE her rocker chic style.
J-14: Have you pulled any pranks on your fellow cast members or have they pulled any on you? EG: Dan Schneider, the creator of the show, is a huge prankster. When we were filming the main titles, he had Daniella (Trina) and I secretly scare Ariana (Cat) in the middle of a scene without her knowing. She got so scared that she screamed and fell on the ground! Everyone on set was laughing.
J-14: What is the best part about playing Jade? EG: It's fun to play the antagonist! She's always stirring something up, but then she can have these moments where she's totally vulnerable and totally sweet, so I never know what's coming with her. She's so unpredictable. It's a lot of fun for me.
J-14: What are Victoria Justice and Avan Jogia like? EG: It's wonderful! The two of them are really, really good friends, so it's nice to see them always chilling and hanging out. We're always with each other 24/7, playing music and hanging out! Vic is super sweet and Avan's a wonderful boyfriend on set! In the show, in the show! We're not dating by any means!
J-14: What's your favorite memory with Victoria? EG: In one of the first episodes we shot, Victoria and I had to do a scene where we were dancing while scraping all kinds of gross old food off of the walls. It was supposed to look like a food fight had just happened. Well, a few hours into filming the scene, we were completely covered in old refried beans, spaghetti, mashed potates, etc. It was SO disgusting, but we still had a great time. It was definitely an experience that neither of us will ever forget.
