Exciting news, Glee and Shadowhunters fans! Harry Shum Jr. is officially a father, and the actor took to Instagram on March 28, 2019, to share the very exciting news.
That’s right, you guys! Harry, 36, shared an adorable pic of his newborn’s tiny feet on the photo app, which was captioned with lyrics from the iconic song, “What a Wonderful World.”
“How wonderful life is, now you’re in the world,” the caption read.
The actor also revealed the baby’s name in the post, which is Xia. Seriously, how cute is that?
But wait, there’s more. Harry’s wife, actress Shelby Rabara, also posted about little Baby xia, and she did so in the cutest way possible. Rather than creating her own post, she shared Harry’s and captioned it, “My everythings,” with a purple heart. If that’s not family goals, we truly don’t know what is.
For those of you who need a little background info, the adorable couple have been together since 2007, and they made things official in 2015. In November 2018, they announced their pregnancy with a sweet Instagram photo where Harry was holding his wife’s baby bump, and we’re still swooning over it.
Now that the baby is here, though, we’re absolutely living for the birth announcement they just posted on the social media platform — even if it’s just a pic of the baby’s feet. And clearly, we’re not alone. In fact, some very familiar faces appeared in the comments congratulating the happy couple on their new addition, and seeing all their friends send their well wishes is making this baby news all the more magical.
Sarah Hyland, Kat McNamara, Gemma Chan, Henry Golding, Chris Colfer and several others sent love to the family of three, and his Glee costar Matthew Morrison has already volunteered to babysit!
“Welcome to the world baby Xia!” Matthew wrote. “Cannot wait to babysit! Love to your parents!!”
