Solo Liam Payne is coming soon, but he is not making his huge comeback alone.

It looks like the One Direction singer will be teaming up with Migos, one of the hottest rap groups in music right now. They appeared on Tim Westwood's radio show and that is when group member Quavo made the announcement that they were cooking up something special with the 1D guy.

"I just came from a video today. My boy Liam from One Direction. You know what I'm saying?," Quavo is heard saying around the 8:20 mark of the interview.

"We just shot that. Crazy vid. Crazy visuals. Crazy team. Cool guy, nice guy. It’s goin’ up. I wasn’t even supposed to say that. It’s gonna be a surprise though," he told the popular UK radio host.

While this may have been a slip of the tongue for the rapper, it sure seems like a huge surprise and a totally different move for the boy band guy. The other 1D group members have done dance tracks, R&B, folk, and a bit of pop rock so it is going to be interesting to see Liam doing a bit of hip hop and trap music with this collaboration and who better to this with than Migos who have had great success with their latest album and hit songs like "Bad and Boujee."

Just last week, Liam posted a photo from a Migos concert, where he was watching from the stage like a true VIP member.

Migos has already worked with many acts in mainstream pop like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, and others, so this is just another huge name to add to their list and we cannot wait to see what they can create together. It is not for sure whether the three Migos will collaborate on the song or if will just be Quavo, but it's sure to be a treat for fans.

Fans have been awaiting Liam's return to music since the band went on hiatus last year but he has become a new dad in the past few months and taking some time, so fans are sure to be thrilled when they hear his voice on this upcoming project.
