Some fans are not happy with Millie Bobby Brown‘s 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet look. On Sunday, January 20, the 15-year-old arrived at the star-studded event in a white Louis Vuitton dress and pants combo that was made specifically for her, she revealed to People.
“It’s everything I kind of wanted,” the actress told reporters. “I definitely wanted to go for a masculine, but very feminine look – and they got it right as per usual.”
Upon her arrival at the awards show, fans took to social media and discussed the Stranger Things star’s look. Most people gushed over Millie’s glamorous look, but others criticized her outfit for being too “mature.”
“Millie Bobby Brown’s stylist should sacked. She is just 15-years-old but looked at least 30 at the SAG awards last night. So disturbing,” one fan wrote on Twitter. Another added, “Is this a 13 going on 30 thing? It’s weird how old [Millie Bobby Brown] looks in this outfit and with this makeup. Be young! Look young!”
A third person added, “She looks twice her age! What are they doing to this girl?!?!?”
Loyal fans were quick to come to Millie’s defense. They slammed the negative commenters and said she looked “beautiful.”
“It’s the SAG Awards. She has a whole career. She’s not supposed to dress her age. In fact, many actresses with her skills do not dress their age. This LV outfit is something a young adult with fashion sense would wear on a red carpet. This hate pains me,” one fan tweeted. Another added, “She looks classy and age appropriate.”
Previously, Millie got real about the hate she has received from internet trolls and revealed that she doesn’t let it get to her.
Internet trolls have never bothered me,” Millie told Harper’s Bazaar in an interview. “I don’t want to sit here and say they do, because some people it genuinely does get to and I wouldn’t want to lie and say they hurt my feelings when they don’t. I honestly actually feel really bad for them because who knows what they’re going through.”
