2017 was an amazing year for good TV. We can't even count how many hours we spent staring at a computer screen, completely entranced by whatever Netflix show was popular at the moment. Netflix remembers, though! The online streaming service put together some of the highlights from 2017, which includes some of our absolute favorite shows! Did yours make the cut?

This year, Netflix users across the world watched over 140 million hours a day. (I know.) And we're probably only, like, half of that! The average Netflix user watched 60 movies throughout the year. Between recent faves like the Beauty and the Beast reboot and Netflix Original movies, like Lady Gaga's Five Foot Two, there are so many movies to love! That is if we weren't already obsessed with a TV show.

Some shows were just too good to ever press pause! 13 Reasons Why was a total binge watch this year. Netflix reports that average viewers watched more than two hours a day. Maybe it's because once one tape ends, we just have to know what's on the next one! 13 Reasons Why Season 2 can't come soon enough.

Another show we devoured was the incomparable Riverdale, which seems to have completely taken over pop culture. Season 1, which you can find on Netflix now, is full of suspense as the core four (Archie, Jughead, Betty, and Veronica) characters try to find out who killed Jason Blossom. Anyone who's not caught up should probably get to it!

Meanwhile, there were a few shows that we wanted to make last forever. A Series of Unfortunate Events, for example, is one of Netflix's top shows that people watch an hour or less of a day. With all the drama that goes on in one episode, it totally makes sense that viewers need a little break. That's probably when you switch over to one of the ultimate family shows.

Netflix reveals that Stranger Things ranks the highest when it comes to family TV time. Also on the list of "Shows That Brought Us Together" is A Series of Unfortunate Events, Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, Riverdale, and Fuller House. All of these shows are a blast from the past strong enough to make any viewer nostalgic. Except for Gilmore Girls, we'll be able to keep the feeling alive all throughout 2018.

While this year was full of television shows we'll never forget, we can't wait to see what 2018 will bring. Even as we say goodbye to some of the most iconic shows, there's bound to be something show-stopping on its way! In the meantime, there's always something to binge on Netflix.

Check out Netflix's roundup of most binged shows in 2017 below.
