K-pop supergroup BTS has been taking over the world with their catchy AF songs you can't help but dance along to. The guys are set to perform at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 19 and ahead of their U.S. awards show performance debut, the group has appeared on a few late night talk shows, like Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Naturally, both hosts were excited to have the band stop by and both referred to BTS as the biggest and most popular band in the world.

And obviously, this was so amazing for the BTS Army to see. Their fans are super loyal and know the guys are on their way to superstardom.

The group is super popular right now, on their way to being known and beloved all over the world like another boy band that's coming to mind: One Direction. But at first, 1D fans weren't all that happy to see BTS being called the biggest band in the world, since this is a title they still feel belongs to the guys of One Direction, despite the fact that the band is on a hiatus and each singer is pursuing a solo career at the moment. Soon after, #1DisStillTheBiggestBoyband started trending on Twitter.

While some fans may have started debating with one another, the hashtag soon took a positive turn and fans realized, hey, there is no competition! Everyone can be successful and there's no need to hate on any other fandom: both One Direction and BTS have the most loyal, supportive fans, they make different types of music anyway, and it's totally OK to be fans of both. So why can't we all just get along?

So while 1D was a HUGE global phenomenon that created a truly special moment in recent music history, BTS is out here carving their own, mega-successful path too. It's another group of cute, talented guys who are making great music and they're out here already slaying so everyone should be excited to see what's next for BTS. One Direction will forever be beloved and whenever they decide to reunite after their hiatus, their fans will be ready to gladly welcome them back. If anything this Twitter situation has taught us yet again, it's that no force is stronger than that of a boy band's fans.
