Another OG Disney Channel star is down for a reboot! Yep, that’s right, Raviv Ullman — known for his starring role in Phil Of The Future — just opened up about his time on the iconic series and even said that he would love to get the cast back together for a reunion show.
The 33-year-old actor recently took a trip to the past and sat down with Seventeen to talk all things Phil. He dished on what made the show different from the other Disney Channel series at the time. The major difference was that Phil of the Future was a single-camera show rather than multi-camera, which made it more expensive to film.
“It can be a lot more expensive to shoot a single-camera show,” he explained. “I know that we were just a much more expensive show than what they were doing at the time. For a network, a lot of it is business and trying to figure out.”
The actor even broke down his thoughts on the show’s ending. Raviv revealed that he was just as confused about the series finale as fans were. For those who don’t know, the show ended on a huge cliffhanger after main characters Phil and Keely shared their feelings for each other and finally kissed.
“I’m hoping that it means there’s still room for us to go and explore what that ending was,” he said. “I’d like to think that Phil is still out there somewhere, trying to find his way back to Keely and his friends here. And with time travel, time doesn’t really exist in the same way, so anything’s possible.”
When asked about the possibility of a reboot, Raviv is totally down.
“I would have no ill will towards a reboot,” he said. “I think that they’re really fun.”
